Last year I was diagnosed with hiatus hernia.
There is lot of pain in the back chest side and legs also.
I showed this to doctor and he suggested back xray to be done there was little bit more curve in the backbone so he suggested me for physiotherapy.
But pain is huge while sleeping and after eating and there is lot of burping.
Can you let me know what medicines will be helpful and what sort of diet should be taken so as to avoid the pain, i guess because of hernia there is not so acute pain and that too every single minute.
Answer Hiatal hernias are common, especially in people over age 50. Eating small meals, avoiding certain foods, not smoking or drinking alcohol, and losing weight may help. Your doctor may recommend antacids or other medicines. If these don't help, you may need surgery.
