Question
I am the non-custodial parent of 1 year old twins.  Recently, my children's  mother changed the twin's babysitter. I have asked their mother for information about the new babysitter such as her telephone number so that I can speak to the babysitter directly to ask about the twins. My ex does not want to provide me this information. Her argument is that she is using the babysitter during her time with the kids and is not obligated to share this information with me. Can their mother do this to me? We live in NY state. Thank you in advance for your help.

DISCLAIMER:
I AM NOT A LAWYER or ATTORNEY. I am someone who has experience with family law issues, and am sharing my OPINION only. For the exact law as it pertains to your specific case contact a Professional Attorney in your area/county.

I recommend you hire a Professional Attorney: Most Attorneys offer 1/2 free consultation time to discuss case and payment options.

Once hired have the Attorney send your ex wife a certified letter indicating she is in or not violation of NEW YORK FAMILY law with reference to Parenting plan on file and child custody laws. I am not 100% sure but in most states this is not legal per the parenting plan.

Seek out a Professional Attorney to assist you further with this case.

Kind Regards,
Jeff
