Question
I first want to thank you for willing to answer questions. My question is this. I have a 10 mth old son. I threw out My fiance when I was 3 mths pregnant and I have not seen or heard from him since.NO CALLS No NOTHING!!! I did not file for child support in fear that he would get visitation.I threw him out because I found marijuana in his car and he knew all along my feelings on drugs. So as you can imagine I do not want my son with him at all. I am disabled and on permanent social security disability so as you can imagine funds are very limited. My question is should I continue to just try to support us all (I have 1 other 8 year old child that I adopted before I fell ill) or should I take my chances and file for support in hopes that the courts will not allow him visitation. If you believe I can get support with NO visitation then can you recommend someone local for me?Again Thank you in advance for helping us parents, Mrs. J

Answer
Hi Andrea, it is doubtful that the court would order no time sharing based upon the grounds you have stated in your question. More likely than not the best you could obtain would be supervised time sharing for a short time that would eventually turn into standard time sharing.

I hope this information was helpful to you.
This answer is based solely on the information you have provided in your question and as always, I would advise that you arrange for an in person consultation with an attorney from my firm or another Family Law attorney familiar with Florida Family Law who can analyze the specific facts and circumstances of the case more closely to better advise you.

Sincerely,

Daniel Bachert, Esq.
