Question My question is actually about a friend of mine who is in the military. He is currently going through a divorce and he and his wife have a daughter together. His wife has threatened multiple times to not allow him to see his daughter once he comes home from active duty. She has also told him that she is planning on leaving and refuses to tell him where she is going with their daughter. Can she do this? Is she able to relocate with their daughter and not tell him where they are going? They're divorce is not final yet so I don't know if that makes a difference, but this seems wrong to me.
Answer He needs to make sure his divorce includes language that prohibits her from moving more than _____ miles without the approval of the court. this would ensure that he has to be notified that she is moving and he can ask the court to ascertain where she is moving and to modify the order to ensure that he has parenting time with his children.
