Question
Can you please re-read my question and actually answer my question? Your answer had nothing to do with my question...

My question AGAIN is:

I am currently on disability. I have to go after the father of my child for support but when he claims the child is not his (and I have only ever slept with him so no doubt it is) I am worried court will take a long time and I will be stuck with a newborn baby and not a penny to get by on. Can this happen?

In other words, "I AM WORRIED THE COURT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME WHILE HE HAS TO ESTABLISH PATERNATY, what do I do in the meantime?

You answer related to paternaty, which I do not have a question about, I know he will have to take a test and this is not the matter at hand, it's how long will this take and in the meantime how do I financially support my child?

Answer
Casey:
DISCLAIMER:
I AM NOT A LAWYER or ATTORNEY. I am someone who has experience with family law issues, and am sharing my OPINION only. For the exact law as it pertains to your specific case contact a Professional Attorney in your area/county/country.

First I understood your question completely. However, note that in this question you change things.

In the first question, You stated you were raped, and did not know whom the father is. You wanted to know how to get help with child support until the father is found. Finally in the first question you mention vaquely that 'someone' has told you that they must go after the father for support.
Am I close?

Now in the second question, things change: You state that you have to go after the father for support 'but when he claims the child is not his (and I have only slept with him so no doubt it is) you are now worried the court will take a long time and you will be stuck with a newborn baby and not a penny to get by on.

As you can see Casey, your story has changed.

Now let me see if I can simplify this answer.

1. You must establish  WHO the father is especially when 'Now the father denies' he is the father.
In order to prove whom is the father, and not basis it on your or his testimony the court requires
you to prove it by this test, OK.   During this time YOUR ATTORNEY can ask for temporary child
support to help you get through this: Work with the Attorney on this issue.

2. Once the test is complete then file motions for child support & parenting plans can be done in a
short period of time.  Casey it will all depend on the courts calendar and how quickly your Attorney
 works.

However, based on your new answer about 'being stuck' with the child you might want to think about
giving the child up for adoption?  You can work with the Local Social Agencies to help you with this
AND it creates a good environment for said child ( Mom and Dad).  Think about it.

Finally, I recommend hiring a Professional Attorney: Most Attorneys offer 1/2 free consultation time to discuss case and payment options.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Jeff
