Question
I have full legal and physical custody of my son.  When I marry my fiance (not the biological father), will he gain any legal custodial rights?  Or, is adoption the only way for him to gain those rights?

Answer
Hi Jill, adoption is the only way.

I hope this information was helpful to you.
