Family Relations - spoiled children

Expert: Dr. Jerry Martin, Jr. - 10/25/2009

Question
How can you tell if a child or even an adult is spoiled. How would you deal with an adult who throws fits or is easily sent into a tantrum?

Answer
Hi,

Everyone are spoiled in some time of our lives.  It is well expected.  It doesn't last.

If a child throws a fit or have tantrum, simple send the child to time out or to the room to keep child calmed down and talk afterwards.

For adult, no excuse to have an tantrum because adult should be able to control and contain our anger into something positive.  "We need to channel our anger into something positive."  I always tell people this quote.  If adult throws fit or have tantrum, ignore and walk away.

Usually it will cease once adult is bored when no one is pay attention to this adult.

You have a wonderful day.

Doc Jerry
