Question I rec'd a Fantasy paperpack book for Christmas- but the title completely escapes me, and the book was loaned out. However, the author was to bring out its sequel in
Sept. 2006 & I'm trying to track it down.
The storyline was of white horses from "The Mountain" that when "dancing" could weave patterns that predicted the future. Locale was similar to 15-1600's Europe. The author's 1st name was Caitlin(?) I think and I believe "Magic" was in the title. That's all I can remember.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?

I am afraid that the book you mentioned didn't sound familiar to me, but I searched on Amazon for Caitlin and magic, as you said, and came up with "Song of Unmaking", by Caitlin Brennan. The review said that there is a place called "the Mountain" where the gods live, so I was hopeful. From there, I found that Caitlin Brennan also wrote the books "Shattered Dance" and "The Mountain's Call", the first of which has a review from October 2006, so it is likely to have come out the month before.
