Question I have a 8 yrold which have just bought and is going to have her front feet shod every 6-8 weeks and i was wondering if i had to get knew shoes every time the farriers come or to have the same shoes taken off, her feet trimmed and then put back on. Also her ergot has cracked in 4 do you know any grease or something to make it grow a bit better ? chloe
Answer Hi Chloe ... I'm not a farrier so cannot answer your question other than to say that it will depend on how your horse wears her shoes. Sometimes it is possible to have the shoes reset but other times new ones are required. Speak to you farrier about it. He's the best one to tell you. :)
