Farriers/what type of shoe
hello sir, what type of shoe is this, as the toe is flat. when to use this shoe on horses?
HELLO ROHIT...THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION...
It is referred to as a "Square toe" shoe. The shoe you are showing looks like an aluminum
shoe was racing.
Basically, to help with over reaching and pulling a front shoe. Some farrier feel, like
a rolled-toe shoe, it helps breakover, but in my opinion, the rolled/rocker toed shoe is far superior.
When applied, you leave the toe and set the squared toe shoe back slightly with the toe
extending forward. Then nail it on.
Best To You !!
