Question
hello sir. i really wonder why our trainers use wedge pads on horses with long pasterns. do they believe that long pastern horses have low heels on that leg?

Answer
HELLO CAINE...THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUESTION...

Basically YES.  Because of "old habits", THEY feel they are raising the lower limb &
hoof capsule.
Which, If you understand your anatomy, you are NOT !!
I will not go into pages of "why", because I have written on this before; but you can read
some of my older answers & it is very understandable.

Best to You !!
