I am also an expert on this service in the orthopedic area so I really can appreciate the time you give on this board.
I am a 50 year old woman. I am 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weigh about 120. I am a size 2.
My hair stylist recently suggested that I dye my brown hair to a deep auburn. My natural color of hair is dark brown. The color we chose has a brown base with auburn and red higlights and it looks very striking and I like the color. I have olive green eyes and the effect with the red hair is very nice and I am happy with the change.
My question to you is about color choice in clothing.
Before I colored my hair I dressed in vibrant colors. I looked very good in primary colors; reds, deep blues, olive greens, purples, pinks and even apricots.
I have found now that the colors I used to wear, do not look as good. They seem to clash with the new auburn color. I noticed that tans and dark browns look good I'm not confident about the primary colors anymore.
Do you have any color suggestions for me?
Thank you again for your time.
Answer Hi Sharon,
I am sorry for the delay in my response! I did not get the original email!
Your new hair coloring sounds very nice.
What is your skin coloring like?
Chocolate brown, gold, tan, camel, should be nice colors for you. You can wear red, it is just finding the right shade. Perhaps a red with an orange undertone (rather than a blue-red) will work. I know you mentioned olive green is not a fit, perhaps a more yellow based green? It sounds like earth tones will be a good fit and not clash with your coloring.
Stay away from black and navy as well as the primary colors you found did not work for you.
Thank you for your question and enjoy your new look :)
