Fashion Tips - Wedge boots and skinny jeans

Question
QUESTION: Hi
I was wondering if wedge ankle boots go with skinny jeans?
I am 4'11, so pretty short and normal build. I don't want to be limited in what l can wear wedge booties with. I would like boots that go with jeans and dresses, but not sure if the wedges will do the trick, as l haven't seen this look much in fashion magazines. They are a pretty high wedge.

Thanks
Sue

ANSWER: OOOPS!
I forgot to give you the link to the magazine spread! Here it is.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for your question.
In order for me to give you the best answer regarding your boots,I will need you to send me a picture of the boots.

you can email the pic to
ggflower@shop4prom.com and I will gladly give you some good advice.

Meanwhile, consider this idea. Gladiator boots. They are all the rage here and they go with dresses and jeans and dress slacks as well.

Make sure you have a pedicure before you go out in these lovelies as your feet will surely get noticed!

Check out the magazine spread I created showing all the cute combinations of looks with gladiator boots.

Hope this helps ya. Don't forget to send me a picture or YOUR boots, so I can comment on them!

QUESTION: These are similar to what the booties l am looking at in the store. The ones l am looking at have a zip at the front and are not shiny and mine might be a bit higher in the wedge.  I have sent you the link below. Again will this be limiting in what l can wear with it, and will it look to chunky? I like to look casual dressed during the day but still fashionable. In other words l like the look of not trying to hard look. As a mum l need to look casual.   Also, l am short, so not sure if these will look heavy on me. I don't have skinny legs, but nicely toned as l run, but l have seen some girls who have skinny legs and these kind of boots look terrible on them. I have also sent you a picture of the ones l already have. What do you think?

Lastly, l quickly checked out your mag link, and l had difficulty finding the picture of boots.

Answer
Oh they are cute, and now that I think of it, the gladiators I recommended earlier would be better for summer where, and it looks like you will be heading into your winter soon.

By all means, yes the ankle boots will look great with your skinny jeans, and will offer your ankles extra support also. I think that if you wore tights in the same color as your shoes, the boots would look great with mid calf, at the knee and mini-skirts. This could give you a lot of options for comfortable wear.

Hope this helps,

Hi Sue,
All the links you are sending me show boots but not the boots you are referring to.

Right click on the boot you want me to see and save it to your hard drive. Then upload it to your reply. That seems to be the only way I will actually get to see the right boot.

I know what you are talking about regarding the sole of a boot. Please send a picture so I can give you the right information.

(PS. Going on vacation tomorrow, and won't be availabe for a while, so write back soon):))
