Question
Hi, I am not sure if you will be able to help me but I am in the middle of writing an essay titled "The benefits of a UK car insurance claims department moving to Canada". The department I work in is outsourcing there and I want to know if there is any main benefits that will come from this move.

Answer
Hi, Richard:  Thanks for the question.  The first obvious benefit is, by having a claims department in Canada, responding to your clients accidents and claims would be much faster.  This would also be helpful when advertising to attract new customers.  People like to know that their agent is close by and quickly able to respond should the need arise.  You might want to do some type of benefits analysis based upon a growing number of customers because of the move.  I would also look at a cost to benefit ratio and run a cost analysis on what it currently costs your company to do business there versus what it will cost by having your claims department actually move there.  Good Luck!
