Subject: computers for secondary students

Question
Hello, I wanted to know how would I go about getting apple computers for a
class of approximately 34 high school students.  I am currently trying to integrate technology with my science class.

Answer
Hi, Jacqueline:  Thanks for the question.  You might try contacting Apple direct to see if they would be willing to supply the computers for the publicity of doing so.  You might also contact your local chamber of commerce to see if they could find you sponsorship by a company interested in what you are doing.  I would also advise you to contact the district office of your state representative to see if thee might be any funds available for technology grants at the state level and do the same with the district office of your congressional representative.  Other than good old fashioned fund raising, that is about it.  If would be good if you could identify what types of specific science projects your class would involved with utilizing these Apple computers.  Best of Luck!
