Question
I read your comment about past pricing history...My question is..Without using PTAC...How would you find an NSN
for an item you will bid on and then.....how do you apply that info to get the items past cost or awarded amount?
Is there a government site which archives this data? I have had POC's reluctant to give it to me as I am preparing a bid.

Thankx a heap...great site!!

Answer
Hi, again, Greg:  You can do a Google search for NSNs.  There are a lot of subscription services that will provide you specific NSN information, including past pricing history, but you have to pay for it.  One is: www.defensedata.com.  You can also check out the web site of the buying activity that you are getting ready to submit your bid to.  They may have a link to the NSNs they buy and what they paid for them in the past.  I suggested using a PTAC mainly because they will usually provide you with the information quickly and free of charge.  Good Luck!
