Question
i live in nebraska, i was a state ward(foster kid) for 11 years, some people tell me that there is a grant for former wards some tell me that it no longer exists. could you tell me if it still exists and maybe some other grants that might be worth looking into?

Answer
Hi, Jason:  Thanks for the question.  If you are still in high school, I would suggest talking with your guidance counselor as soon as possible.  You might be eligible for a PELL Grant or some type of educational opportunity grant. Simply Google "Pell Grants".

Good Luck!
