Question
Hi, Recently we have shifted to a new house which we have purchased. I am noticing a cosiderate increase in the amount of expenditure we have to bear now-a-days. Starting from car repairs, microwave/TV repair etc. Also this new year my mother suffered a major accident(fell from the stairs & broke her leg though NOT inside the house). All these symptoms are not looking good to me. I am keen to know if Feng shui can help bringing in good health and monetary stability in my new house. Some of my house facts :-
1) Its facing the West direction.
2) The front of my house is a plane ground so it's very windy & generally the wind flows in from the West direction. (I don't know if it's a good sign!!)
3) I have a group of bamboo shoots which I have kept in a bowl which is placed just infront of the entrance.
4) I also got a "Laughing Budha" statue which is kept next to the bamboo shoots. (Both these items are put on the top of my shoe rack. I think this could be a wrong place to keep these things)

Can you please suggest some remedial steps which could help me? I would appreciate if you can let me know the proper directions of keeping things in the house like direction of head while sleeping, the computer table etc. Is there any free site which I can refer to for a better Fengshui positioning of household goods?

Thanking you in advance,
Devasis

Answer
Dear Devasis,

Thanks for your questions. First it is probably a good idea to move the buddha to a more sacred space than the shoe rack.

Second, place a chiming clock that plays the Westminster chimes every 15 minutes in a location where you can hear the chimes throughout the house.

Classical or time-space feng shui is very precise and detailed. It is also extremely effective. You can find out more about it at www.astro-fengshui.com and www.fsrc.net.

You might also consider purchasing my favorite book "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Feng Shui, Third Edition". This book has all the charts you need and some very excellent information that can help you tremendously. You can order the book at www.astro-fengshui.com.

Happy new year.
