Subject: using red in our house

Question
QUESTION: Hello. Our house faces southwest, we have a center hall with kitchen to the right of the hall, and stairs and bath to the left. Our living room/dining room is entered from the center hall, and runs across the back of the house. Our house was built in 1946. We are interested in any suggestions you might have regarding our use of red. We presently have a red chest in our living room again the back wall, between too sliding glass doors leading out to our back yard. We are considering red carpeting on our stairs leading up to the second floor. Thanks for any help.

QUESTION: Judy,
Please tell me how I can measure the exact degrees.
Tammy

Answer
Take the compass and stand in the back yard. Point the compass at the back of the house. Adjust the compass so that the arrow lines up with 0 degrees. then see what the number is directly pointing to the house.

You can also go to any sporting goods store and find someone who can show you how to read the compass.

Thanks for your question.
