Question I've constructed the flying stars natal chart for the house, but the situation here is a bit complicated. My grandmother is renting a portion of the house to her sister, and I am not allowed to make any changes in that part of the house--the SE, E, and NE sectors of the home. It has been somewhat divided, so that she has her own kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Originally, these areas were the two bedrooms, and the master bedroom, so I guess there was another remodel, about which I'd forgotten, which occurred when the house was occupied.
However, she does not have her own entrance into the house, and uses the same one as my grandmother. I'm the one who uses a different entrance, which is in the SW, facing West. I live in the converted garage, which has a sink **which has a screen in front of it, and guardians to keep the chi away**, but aside from that, it's pretty much a large bedroom. I've done the best I can in my room, as far as feng shui is concerned, but the rest of the house is a different story.
My grandmother, although unfortunate and always ill, and depressed, does not believe that feng shui is anything more than silly superstition. She sleeps in what is supposed to have been the dining room, in front of the sliding glass back door, under a bunch of exposed beams, and with her head pointed in the wrong direction.
So, with that said, it's pretty obvious that feng shui will not be implemented in this house. I've spent two years begging her to listen to me about it, but she won't budge.
Since there is little to no feng shui that will be done inside the house, and since the house is somewhat divided into apartments (and yes, we are a family divided), will the fountain actually have an impact on anybody residing here?
And since the 5 star is in my grandmother's sister's living room, which is separate from the rest of the house, is it really near the 5 star, or is that side of the house, which is three rooms deep, but with no outside entrance, going to have it's own stars, based upon the date that it was partitioned from the rest of the house?
There is a compost heap in the 8 star. But like I said, it's a feng shui nightmare.
Lillian Too suggests that the front yard be divided into the 9 squares of the Lo Shu, and she follows the same order as we would for the interior. This seems incorrect, as I thought the Former Heaven Sequence was used for outside.
Anyway, I guess I really only have the one question, which is:
If there is no deliberate feng shui inside the house, will the waterfall on the outside really make a difference? And if so, would it be to the whole household, or only to the resident of that side of the house?
Thanks again,
David
(And I promise, this is the final question---at least for a while)
Answer Hi David,
The qi comes from the outside of a structure to the center point of the interior of the structure. So, yes, the water outside will make a difference on the inside. Yes it will make a difference to the whole household.
You see, feng shui can be complex but the principles are simple. Water on a bad water star will affect everyone in the structure. Water on a good water star will also affect everyone in the structure. Even if you don't implement much feng shui inside, if the exterior forms are good and are compatable with the stars, then you can still have good feng shui.
I hope this helps.
Good luck to you. I look forward to a positive update on your situation.
