Ferrets/Best food for ferrets

Question
Hi,

I am trying to figure out which food to buy for my ferrets when I get them in a few months.
I would like to get them eating the best possible dry food (I will not feed raw or wet food).

Right now I am thinking one of the following:
~8 in 1 Ultimate Advanced Nutrition Diet Ferret Food (chicken & rice formula, not the soft)
~BLUE Wilderness™ Grain Free Kitten Food
~Wellness® Kitten Health Cat Food

Thanks,
Jessica

Answer
Hello Jessica,

I use Marshal Farms.  However, any good brand ferret food will be just fine.  I don't recommend cat or kitten food.  Please be sure to give your ferrets vitamins.  Ferret vitamins contain important nutrients that their regular food might not have.  My ferrets don't go a single day without them.  I use FerretVite.  Be careful to follow the dosage instructions.  Too much vitamins will cause diarrhea and you certainly do not want that.  A little goes a long way.

Good luck with your fuzzies.  If I can be of any more help, just let me know.

Fond Regards,
Janet
