Sorry for the slow response, I've been asking around a little about your hair washing fetish, and I've got to say its definitely a unique one! That, or people just don't talk about it being a fetish.
Unfortunately, most websites revolving around hair fetishes don't include the washing of hair, they just lump it all together into one big category of loving the feeling or touching of hair or a certain colour of hair.
There is no real childhood trigger, I think if you asked people most would agree that there is something different about the sensation of someone else washing your hair. Many people find it sexually stimulating to have their hair washed in a salon, others merely find it relaxing.
The fact that it is your girlfriend washing your hair would make it even more pleasurable because you would associate her touching you in a sexual way.
