Past/Present clients Have steady "patients" and Doctors/Nurses who like to fulfill their fantasies. My "specialty" is in providing "newbies --- the curious" with an environment to experience their fantasy and to explore their curiosity without the fear of being rejected, laughed at, thought to be weird, etc. Many females are curious about becoming aroused during a GYN exam OR they want to be the Doctor/Nurse and find the man's prostate. I have helped them all . . .
Question I'm a 50 year old female, about 5'8" somewhat overweight with a shape and reside in SC. I enjoy having my temp taken rectally. I've had the fetish since I've been a child and have questions I've never been able to get answered. In reading some of the medical sites, they say you should take your temp 3-4 times a day, when feeling well, for a period of 5-7 days, to see what your normal temp is. They don't provide charts to document this information or instructions. What times during the day? What type of thermometer should be used glass vs. digital? With a digital, if left in longer , does it still register? Is glass better than digital? Should I have someone take my temp or do it myself? Should someone be watching or asking questions like how it feels or do I like it- do I need inform people when my temp is being taken or going to be taken? How far should I insert the thermometer and how long should I keep it in? Is it better to take it out after a certain amount of time to see if it's registering and then re-insert, if yes- do I add additional time on? What position should I be in- is one better than the other? What about twirling? Should the lubricant be cold or room temp? Pants & panties completely off or down past the knees ? Does it matter what room in the house I'm in? Can I do other things while the thermometer is inserted, like walk around? Should a butt plug or other items be used between temps? How often should it be taken in one doctor's visit or in a given day at home? Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you can answer these questions. I would like to find a doctor to take my vitals but need one who realizes the importance of an using an accurate method for my temp whether sick or well.
PLAY DOCTOR ANSWERS* A PATIENT’S QUESTIONS ABOUT HER INTEREST IN RECTAL TEMPERATURE TAKING
1. Some of the medical sites say you should take your temperature 3-4 times a day, when feeling well, for a period of 5-7 days, to see what your normal temp is. They don't provide charts to document this information or instructions. What times during the day?
ANSWER: Body temperature changes throughout the day; with females, it also changes during the month with the menstrual cycle. Body temperature rises throughout the day and is usually highest in the evening. It also changes as a function of physical activity, strong emotion, eating, heavy clothing, medications, high room temperature, and high humidity. So, with that said, any daily recording of temperature must also include a record of the “extraneous variables” unless you are able to control the environment for 5-7 days. As to charting or keeping a record, you can just write it down, put it on graph paper, or use a computer spreadsheet, like Excel. You will definitely want to start your temperature taking record each day before getting out of bed – make it the very first thing you do upon waking. Assuming you are awake for 16 hours a day beginning in the morning [6AM], and if you want to get readings throughout the day, I would then suggest another reading mid-morning [11AM], mid-afternoon [3PM],and mid-evening [8PM]. Just make sure that nothing has changed within 30 minutes of taking your temperature such as eating, drinking, bathing, etc., and, if so, make note of it.
2. What type of thermometer should be used glass vs. digital?
ANSWER: It really doesn’t matter except that, with a digital thermometer, there will really be no guesswork since the temperature reading will be displayed digitally and large enough to see it. If, you also have a fetish and/or like having your temperature taken rectally, there may be something special about the traditional glass thermometer (cautions noted with the glass & mercury) and/or you may enjoy leaving the thermometer in place longer.
3. With a digital, if left in longer, does it still register?
ANSWER: Most over-the-counter digital thermometers do not have continuous registering. Once the maximum temperature is reached, it will stop sensing and lock-in the reading until reset. Some more advanced thermometers, usually for professional medical use (such as the IVAC) have a continuous option and they can be set to keep measuring as long as they are inserted.
4. Is glass better than digital?
ANSWER: Better? That all depends on your perspective. The environmentalists made a big cause about the hazards of mercury being exposed to the environment, so traditional mercury-filled glass thermometers went away; simultaneously, they were replaced by alcohol-filled thermometers (by Geratherm) and digital thermometers. The ear thermometers are still around and then there are various other devices that measure temperature. For the purist, there is nothing better than the traditional triangle red-topped, yellow-band, stubby buld rectal thermometer!
5. Should I have someone take my temp or do it myself?
ANSWER: This, too, is a matter of perspective and personal preference. It is certainly easier to have someone take your temperature, but there’s no reason why you can’t do it yourself. Lying on your side or on your back is a bit easier than lying on your stomach if you take your rectal temperature yourself. From a convenience perspective, it’s going to be a lot easier not to have somebody else involved.
6. Should someone be watching or asking questions like how it feels
or do I like it?
ANSWER: Again, a matter of personal preference, especially as you depart from trying to ascertain your normal body temperature to having a fetish for or enjoyment from rectal temperature taking.
7. Do I need inform people when my temp is being taken or going
to be taken?
ANSWER: There is absolutely no reason why anybody needs to know that you are going to take your temperature or have your temperature taken --- unless, for you, there is some reason that you want them to know.
8. How far should I insert the thermometer and how long should I
Keep it in?
ANSWER: Since you can’t really see what you are doing, to give an answer in “inches” would not make sense, but I will. You’ll want to insert the thermometer (glass or digital) so that the tip is clearly in the rectum; that means it has to pass the anus. A good guide would be to insert it to the point where you’re your fingers are touching your buttocks; this will usually be ½ - ¾ of the way in and will be more than sufficient. The typical glass rectal thermometer in use right now (where available) is 4¼” long; you’ll probably insert it about 2½”. If it is a digital thermometer, you’ll insert it until the wider part (where the reading is) touches your buttocks.
9. Is it better to take it out after a certain amount of time to see if it's registering and then re-insert, if yes- do I add additional time?
ANSWER: There is no need to remove the thermometer to see if it is registering. If it is a glass thermometer, 4 minutes will be sufficient; if it is a digital thermometer, it will beep when the temperature is recorded; accordingly, the second part of the question in not valid.
10. What position should I be in - is one better than the other?
ANSWER: See the answer to Question 5.
11.What about twirling?
ANSWER: Assuming that you mind moving the thermometer between the fingers, or some people also “adjust” the thermometer by moving it in and out, you are now departing from obtaining a temperature measurement and moving toward the fetish or arousal aspect of rectal temperature taking. If you are wanting an accurate temperature measurement, you would be advised to insert the thermometer and let it register for the required amount of time.
12. Should the lubricant be cold or room temp?
ANSWER: The lubricant does not need to be cold; room temperature is fine but it certainly should not be warm or hot.
13. Pants & panties completely off or down past the knees?
ANSWER: While lowered pants and panties is acceptable, when they are completely removed, it is easier to take your own temperature because you can get your legs spread and access your anus more easily. When your temperature is being taken by someone else, it won’t really matter except if there is a fetish/arousal aspect involved, in which case, that will be determined by the scenario.
14. Does it matter what room in the house I'm in?
ANSWER: It really doesn’t matter, although it is usually easier and more comfortable if you are lying on your bed.
15. Can I do other things while the thermometer is inserted, like walk
around?
ANSWER: You should NOT do anything else [active] while the thermometer is inserted. You can read, listen to music, watch TV, etc., but, while the thermometer is inserted, you must lie still. You don’t want to run the risk of having the thermometer fall out or, worse yet, be inserted past your anus, in which case it may be difficult to remove and may require medical attention.
16. Should a butt plug or other items be used between temps?
ANSWER: Use of a butt plug and rectal temperature taking are unrelated. Some people enjoy the sensation of the thermometer (very small) and may find that the insertion of the butt plug may minimize the sensation of having their temperature taken rectally. Again, however, this departs from obtaining temperature measurements as compared to the erotic aspect(s) of rectal temperature taking and anal stimulation.
17. How often should the rectal temperature be taken in one doctor's visit or in a given day at home?
ANSWER: Generally, your temperature will not be taken rectally during a routine medical visit. Your temperature may be taken twice but, again, that would be very rare unless there was a very strange reading (exceptionally low or high) or something during the visit was done to affect temperature (like to bring it down if you were ill) --- but that would probably not occur during an office visit. With respect to home, see the answer to Question 1; if you are ill, maybe more frequently if you feel a change or are taking medication(s) to effect change.
