Question
Hi Catherine,
Can you tell me if wide spread twitching is a symptom of Fybromyalgia?  I have had this twitching for over 15 months now and have been diagnosed with fybromyalgia but my doctor tells me that twitching is not a part of this disease.  Can you help?

Answer
emilio;

many people with fibromyalgia have a variety of other symptoms,problems,and discomforts that seem to be connected to fibromyalgia, but they are not direct symptoms of the syndrome because some people have them and others dont. the list includes the following.

-allergies,anxiety,bladder spasms,blurred visiob,carpal tunnel syndrome;
-checmical sensitivities,cognitive impairment,coldness of the estremities;
-crampy abdominal or pelvic pain,depression,dizziness,dry eyes/mouth;
-feeling of swollen extremities,fingernail ridges,fluid retention;
-frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions,gastrointestinal disturbances;
-headaches,hives,impaired coordination,intermittent hearing problems;
-irritable bladder,joint swelling,memory impairment,mental confusion;
-migraines,mood swings,muscle tremors,muscle twitching;
-numbness of the exremities,painful menstruation,palpitations;
-poor circulation to hands and feet,poor circulation;
-premenstrual syndrome,rashes,restlegs syndrome;
-sensitivity to hot and cold ,bright lights,sounds,smells,cigarette smoke,
perfumes,and especially the weather;
