Question Anne, I have fibromyalgia and recently found out I have a compound fracture of my lower back, some mornings it is hard to get out of bed but my doctor has put me on lyrica and I was wondering that besides the swelling of my legs is it a known side effect of this drug that you can have hairloss also, and can my doctor also give me something else for the pain?

I think you mean that you have a compression fracture. Compression fracture is a common type of fracture in the back. The vertebrae gets "crushed" due to trauma or weakened bones. A compound fracture is a
break with an open wound.
