Question With so much info available for FM, why do so many doctors treat you so badly? I went to the emergency room night before last the pain was so bad. The doctor on call told me I was a junky and I just wanted pain pills. I told him to keep his pain pills, and give me any other advise etc. to kill the pain. He sent me home, and never took a look at me. I wished at that moment I could just die.
Answer shawn;
first thing i would write a letter to the hospital about how rude he was to you,and then i would write one to the local newspaper,and explain what happened to you,and then maybe explain how the disease is real,and how many millions it does affect.
i remember when i was first told i had FMS,and it was like,what the hell is that?,so then i read up and did some reseach and then i informed my doctor of all the info i have came up with and all kinds of treatments to try-and then i tried some of the treatments,in which they dont help everyone. we all are so different when it comes to this disease.
sometimes doctors just dont want to take the time to see about all diseases and mostly this one. but beleive me it is a real one.
