Subject: can I get serious about Ice skating?
Question I am 13 years old just turned 14,
I have gone ice skating very little but really love the sport, I am just about to take classes for beginners.
Of course I realize that some people start when they are older but can I a 14 year old get serious about Ice skating and compete?
-Mary
Answer HI Mary:
Yes, a 14 year old can accomplish a great deal in the sport. There are many levels of skating competitions. For example the Ice Skating Institute holds national competitions in just about every ability and age level. The USFSA also holds national adult competitions (for when you get a bit older).
Age should not deter you from participating in the sport.
Good luck,
Bruce
