Question
I am currently in Freestyle 4 level an I train 3 times a day for an hour each. I am 13 and Icompete. I am wondering if there is any specific diet for a skater my age and level? If so, can you give me general ideas?

Answer
I can share some general ideas, Emmaleigh. Your interest in nutrition at such a young age is admirable. Eating well is very important for your energy level and the longevity of your athleticism.
A wide variety of fresh, raw, organically grown fruits and vegetables will serve you well to keep motivated, energized, injury-free, healthy, and beautiful. They provide vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, and protein without artificial toxins that drain your energy. They keep your blood from becoming too acidic.
Avoid white flour. Eat a variety of whole grains, such as millet, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, rye, oats, barley, and teff.
Use turmeric and ginger (both found in curry) as natural anti-inflammatories.
Read books on nutrition from your natural food store, and shop at a good natural food store.
I hope this helps to enhance your competitiveness and enjoyment of sport, and to inspire you to continue to learn more about nutrition.
