Expert: Harry Hayfield - 12/28/2007

Question
Hi,
There are mentions that investment banks will be ditching "non-core businesses" next year... It might sound like a dumb question, but what departments are classed as "non-core"?
Thank you!

Answer
According to Ocwen Financial Corporation, it's core business is Residential Loan Servicing business, Ocwen Realty Advisors, Ocwen Recovery Group, Business Process Outsourcing and Commercial Servicing. Therefore it stands to reson that any other businesses are non core.
