Financial Reports - Not sure you can help me.

Expert: k kemper - 11/7/2004

Question
I know about the three large credit agencies that you get your credit score from.
My question is: Do companies have their own method.  Can you have a 700 from Equifax for instance but a company through their own methods come up with a different score thus denying or approving you credit?
Thanks.

Answer
R; that is very insightful.  YES, there are about 6 reporting agencies and MOST but not all of the big banks
have bought into the ABSOLUTES of the tri merge scoring
process.

YOU need not spend one second trying to convince me of the
arbitrary rules involved in the tri merge's scoring.

My scores are unchallengeable and their data in error
and uncorrectible!!!

all institutions take the FICO 'crap' and use it their
own special ways, further mucking up the process.

thanks for asking
