Question Can I do it myself, without getting a license? Please advise. I do not mind paying some fee to somebody but it might be simpler just for few stocks and small investment at this moment. Thanks
PS I am getting a solid advise from somebody but need to have access...
Answer Ales,
Thank you for your question! Yes, you can certainly trade your own investments yourself, with no restrictions or requirements for any type of license. Some good online websites where you can sign up and place your own orders for stocks, mutual funds, cd's, and other investments are www.TDAmeritrade.com, www.Scottrade.com, and www.FOLIOfn.com There are trading costs when you trade your own investments, these websites will charge a small fee for each transaction you make. But, this is typically a much lower fee than if you hire a financial advisor or other expert to handle your investments.
However, if you want to provide advice and trading services to other people, you definitely do need various licenses and authorizations. This is much more complex. If this is what you are interested in, I urge you to find a lawyer with this type of experience who can advise you on how to properly set up your services.
I hope that this helps! Please do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any additional service,
Sincerely,
Paul Henneman
