Question
What month or time of the year is the best time to sell stocks?  Thanks paul

Answer
Thank you for your question!
Unfortunately there is no clear answer to your question. There really is no definitive best time of the year to buy or sell stocks. Every stock is different, and each industry or sector can behave differently. Stocks should be evaluated individually, to determine what value that particular company has. Many investors start their research by doing some research on the sector level, and once they find an attractive sector to invest in, they will research individual stocks in that sector.
Rather than timing of the year, the best time to buy or sell stocks is when your research indicates that the stock is trading at a low level considering its potential for the future to buy, or vice versa to sell. There are many sources to help you learn how to research this, but some places to start would be the book "Investing for Dummies" and the website www.MotleyFool.com   Other good sources are the periodicals The Economist, The Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
I hope this is helpful, and my message would be to not worry about the time of year, but focus on the sector you are interested in, then the stocks within that sector that you may think are positioned for growth.  Please do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any additional service,

Sincerely,
