Financing -- Loans - Numerous fees

Expert: Bobbi Buehl - 7/25/2008

Question
My home loan was sold on 6/1/08 since then the new company has tacked on 3 late fees and a corporate advance fee (whatever that is) I have only had them for 1½ months. Is this legal to do? Thank you

Answer
No, it is not legal! Contact the Bank who has you loan and explain what has happened and ask them to correct the issues. They correct need to correct these issues to the Credit Reporting Agencies. If they won't, contact your Attorney General and explain to them what's going on. Also, let the Bank know that you're reporting them to the Department of Finance in your State and the Attorney General!

Good Luck, and let me know if you've gotten taken care of please... :)
