Financing -- Loans - not so perfect credit . . . want to start a business

Question Hi. I want to start a small Hotdog shop and the only overhead we will have will probably be under 10000. I know my credit isn't the best but it is not the worst either (probably around 600 - 650) will that be a problem for me to get government issued loans or grants of some kind and where do i begin to look for these grants or loans. I am also a survivor of a cancer patient (my mother died about 10 years ago) are there any grants out there to help for me being a survivor? I know the government offers a lot of different types of grants. Please advise asap. Thanks Christina
