Answer
Hi Wil,

I'm sorry to hear of your plight.  I must say that it sounds a bit unusual that you all of a sudden feel unhappy and listless.  I wonder if a health issue may be affecting the way you feel.  You mention that every day seems like an effort.  Are you feeling tired and have little energy?  Our physical health can certainly impact our emotional well-being.  I would suggest that you start by seeing a doctor and have a complete physical.

If the cause is not physical, then it may be an emotional issue.  Think back to when you first started feeling unhappy.  Did any important events precede this?  Did you have any major disappointments?  These could be clues as to why you're feeling the way you are.  Your next step may be to see a therapist.

I hope you're able to find the cause of your unhappiness.  I wish you well!

Best Wishes,

Kathleen Barton
