Question
Hello,
I am a very young academic and extremely lucky where I am in my carreer considering my age. However, I often feel that my line of work is not for me. I would love to go to Hong Kong or to Paris and learn how to cook, I feel I am a very creative person. I want a bit of excitment in my life but also worried I will be taking a major risk. Also, I only have English as my language but would love to travel. What do you think I should do? How would I go about taken that road that is less travelled by?

Answer
Sinead,
I commend you on recognizing your blessings. What you feel is life calling you to be more. You only have this one life that you are living and it is up to you to live it to the fullness that you desire. No regrets.

I feel that you should be brave and step out into the world and enjoy the view; however, proceed with a plan. Sit down and make a plan that you can follow to limit your risks.

You could work on a cruise ship, travel on a student Visa. The only risk to life is not living your dreams. People tend to try and be careful only to regret not having done something with this precious gift of life.

Get out there (with a plan). While you're at it, check out www.define-your-purpose-in-life.com
