Question
I have two oil paintings by Parker Lee (may be Parker Lee Hall)but can find very little on him on the Internet.  The two oils were bought June 18, 1965 from Martin Lowitz, Inc, 8919 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048.  I have the original receipt.  I have been told they are worth very much, but the receipt shows they sold for only $50.00 each back in 1965.

Answer
Is this the artist?

Born in Denver, CO on Sept. 15, 1898. After moving to San Francisco about 1927, Hall studied at the CSFA while an assistant to Ralph Stackpole. A resident of Berkeley until 1938, he then married artist Maxine Albro and moved to Carmel, CA where he remained until his death on April 27, 1982. Member: Bohemian Club; SFAA. Exh: SFAA, 1928-31; SFMA, 1935; GGIE, 1939. In: Library of Congress; Vallejo (CA) Jr. High School (wood figure); Coit Tower.

Expertise

I can answer questions about Salvador Dali. While I cannot do FREE APPRAISALS, I might be able to help you sell your works. I can also help with Chagall, Miro, Picasso and other 20th Century Masters.

Questions about a type of art or medium can be answered with one response in most cases. Technical issues are easier to deal with than specifics about an artist. If you need help finding values or history on an artist, it will probably involve research that can sometimes take hours to complete. If you have more than one image to send, I will give you an alternate email address as this system cannot handle multiple images.
