Question
Wesleyan College has a painting of the Last supper..a copy that looks like De Vinci but it is signed by Lalli.  I need information on this artist and if he might have done a work like this. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Peggy,  Acording to Boris Wilnitsky A. Corsi Lalli was a Florentine artist who was born in 1849 and died in Florence in 1937. He lived in his house, the Villa Nuti, outside of Florence. He was an accomplished copyist, whose works achieve remarkable prices at present-day auctions.  Corsi Lalli painted many copies or well known religious paintings so the Last Supper at Wesleyan College could very well be one of them.  Cheers, Brent
