Fine Art/Miro

I recently purchased, at auction, a signed Miro lithograph.  On the back was a "Darvick Certification of Authenticity" it stated."  "this is to certify that the photograph affixed to this certificat( there was a photo affixed) is a photograph of a lithograph of a Miro work of art.  In my opinion the lithograph is authentically signed by the artist "Miro".
It has a signed and embossed seal.
What are my chances that it is an original lithograph in the frame?
What are my chances that the signature is authentic?
It is Miro's style, however, not named or numbered.

Chances are, it has little or no value other than decorative.

If it turns out you have an authentic Miro signed by his own hand, I'm sure you will be pleased with the value as Miro works have reached high dollar amounts in the past few years.

I just sold a Miro from the 1970's for $45,000.00

It took quite a bit of work to evaluate, authenticate and appraise the piece and the work has to be done by the right people or the paperwork is worthless.

Many times people come to this site to try an avoid paying appraisal fees, but with name artists, there is no way around it.

I can try and save you some $$.  if you want to persue it, send images and all details, including your ph# to my personal email address:

I can answer questions about Salvador Dali. While I cannot do FREE APPRAISALS, I might be able to help you sell your works. I can also help with Chagall, Miro, Picasso and other 20th Century Masters.

Questions about a type of art or medium can be answered with one response in most cases. Technical issues are easier to deal with than specifics about an artist. If you need help finding values or history on an artist, it will probably involve research that can sometimes take hours to complete. If you have more than one image to send, I will give you an alternate email address as this system cannot handle multiple images.
