Question
I've been trying to identify the painting in this image.  It's a reproduction of a Paul Gauguin and I've been trying to find out which one as I very much would like to find a print or get a reproduction made.  I've been through every link on artcyclopedia.com, all the image archives, done Google searches and looked at the reproduction sites but have not found the original painting.  The only sites I haven't checked are the auction sites which require a subscription.

I'm hoping you will recognize it:

Thank you.

Answer
Hello Margaret,  I am not an Gauguin expert.  Where did you snap this image from?  Have you gone down to the art library at your local University and looked for the work in exhibition catalogues and other published books bout the artist?  The Internet does not replace the library.  You are also making an assumption that this work is a publisihed work by the artist and it most probably is not and you therefor will not be able to purchase a reproduction of it.  Cheers, Brent
