Question
Dear Mr. Evans, I have a lithograph of Chagall's "Spring Day" that is authenticated by Park West Galleries in NY, registration #21409. It is about 14' x 10. My huband is very ill and I am looking to sell some artwork around the house, including this one. Could you possibly give me an idea of it's worth? Thank you so much for your time in this matter. Sincerely, Julie

Answer

Lithograph of Marc Cha
Dear Julie, this Chagall lithograph can be worth anything between $1,000 and $10,000 depending on if it is signed, its condition, etc. You can compare the style of the piece and the edition number to these Marc Chagall lithographs for sale http://www.masterworksfineart.com/inventory/chagall . I believe that piece is in the "Maeght" catalog raisonne. For an accurate understanding of its worth, I recommend you contact Alex Adelman of Masterworks Fine Art, Inc. at http://www.masterworksfineart.com . He deals with Chagall lithographs daily, and will be more than happy to discuss your piece with you. Also, I wish your husband the best of health. Thank you.
