Question
P Wilson Painting
P Wilson Painting
Hi,

I have this lovely original painting by an artist "P Wilson". Can you give any backgrond or a first name?  I'd like to learn more about him/her and perhaps get an appraised value at some point.  Thanks

Answer
This is a very beautiful painting. It looks like an oil on canvas. If it is a unique original work, you should be able to see brush strokes within the image. I am not familiar with the artist, and have not been able to find any records of him or her. There was a P MCGRIGOR WILSON (1928-1960), but I believe he did pencil drawings.

I recommend contacting Christies http://christies.com/ or Sothebys http://www.sothebys.com/ auction houses, as they are the two largest auction houses in the world. They may have an expert who knows this work of art.

Sincerely,

Andrew Evans
