I have a Claude Monet painting that was given to me. It is signed and dated 82. I want to find out if it is authentic. I am in Washington State and would like to find out where to take it. You can see and feel the paint,even on the signature

To my knowledge, the only authenticator of unique original Monet works is Wildestein Institute in Paris. The authentication process will cost you a good amount, though. Here is their contact information:
