I know this post is old, but recently I also stumbled across the exact same painting as the one being questioned. Same writing, same size, same canvas etc... I have had zero luck finding anyone who knows anything about it

I also have come across a copy of the exact same thing, purchased at an Estate Sale. Mine is in a frame, but no matting. It also has no glass.  I've done a lot of research on the author William Ewart Lockhart, but there is not much there. Just thought I'd let all know there is one more copy of "Girl in the Field."
