Question
Mauve Painting
Mauve Painting
On one of his trips to The Netherlands in the early 1900's, my grandfather acquired this painting from a relative.  It looks almost identical to Anton Mauve's Sheep on the Heath, however, the signature line is different from others I have seen and reads "n.A.Mauve".  Do you have an opinion as to whether it is indeed painted by Anton Mauve?

Answer
It might be...

Could you send me a larger image?

I cannot appraise it. Only give you my opinion.

There are images online that I can compare it to on askart.com. You can see the images yourself.

If you aren't a subscriber, I think you can get a short term pass. I can't put the images on Allexperts because they are copyrighted...
