Question
I have this antique watercolor of a palace guard and it has this writing in the bottom left corner. I appreciate anything you could tell me.

Answer
Dear Louis Hughes, I recommend contacting Christies http://christies.com/ or Sothebys http://www.sothebys.com/ auction houses, as they are the two largest auction houses in the world. They may have an expert who knows this piece. If there is one near where you live, you can also take it to a Bonham's Valuation Day http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=EUR&scre . Make sure to explain to them where you got it and any outstanding markings on the work. I wish you the best.

Sincerely,

Andrew Evans
