Question
Burton on Trent
Burton on Trent
Hi,

I bought this paining 8 years ago and was told it is by J
McKenzie who was displayed in the late 1890's in the Royal
Academy Of arts in the UK. I have contacted them and they
have no records of such an event. Could you please try and
identify this artist as I would like to insure it for the
correct amount.

The paining is of Burton on Trent in Staffordshire UK it has
been fully restored by Manser Gallaghan fine paintings
gallery in Shrewsbury UK. I look forward to your reply and
would like to take this time to thank you for your
assistance with this question.

Regards

Andrew

Answer
Hi Andrew,

This a beautiful piece although I am not familiar with the artist that painted it. Sothebys http://www.sothebys.com/ and Christies http://christies.com/ auction houses may be able to help you out. They may have an expert who knows this piece. If there is one near where you live, you can also take it to a Bonham's Valuation Day http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=EUR&scre . I hope this helps, and good luck to you!
