Fine Art/Currier & Ives prints

I have two Currier & Ives Prints, found about 30 years ago in a home bought by my sister-in-law.  The first, titled "The Road, Winter", says Shorewood Publishers, G-2001 in lower left corner, The Harry T Peter Collection, The Museum of City of New York in lower right corner and visible measurement inside frame is 21x27".  We have not reframed it.

The second print, titled "The Life of a Hunter" "A Tight Fix" (in Italics below title) has the same labeling as above but numbered G-2011, and is about the same size.  This print was behind The Road print in the older frame and we have had it framed.

They are both in very good condition. So, should I head to Antiques Roadshow?

thanks for your help.

Shorewood was known for low end graphics. Currier & Ives antique prints can be found online selling for low prices. I am a Salvador Dali expert, so this is not really my area, however I have studied them somewhat and Salvador Dali did do interpretations of various Currier & Ives prints, so I have looked them up from time to time. As prints vary in value, I suggest contacting a dealer that sells similar works and see what they offer for them.

I can answer questions about Salvador Dali. While I cannot do FREE APPRAISALS, I might be able to help you sell your works. I can also help with Chagall, Miro, Picasso and other 20th Century Masters.

Questions about a type of art or medium can be answered with one response in most cases. Technical issues are easier to deal with than specifics about an artist. If you need help finding values or history on an artist, it will probably involve research that can sometimes take hours to complete. If you have more than one image to send, I will give you an alternate email address as this system cannot handle multiple images.
