Hello. Thank you in advance for your expertise. I purchased a Marc Chagall book cover lithograph (unsigned) with a certificate of authenticity from Collier Art in LA. I am curious about its value. I believe its title is either The Couple or Artist & Palette. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Holly,

This work looks to be a poster from an unnumbered edition.  The edition is likely between 1500-3000 works. Unfortunately, works such as this have little to no collectible value, usually a few hundred dollars at most.  I can perhaps recommend browsing ebay for pricing comparisons.

Sorry to not bear better news, but hopefully you can enjoy the imagery of this work.

Best,

Andrew Evans
