Fine Art/Geoffrey Holder

I realize this question is mid-20th Century but I was hoping you could help anyway. I have an original Geoffrey Holder painting, and would like to find its value and possible market.

Happy to take a stab at this. Public auction databases show only 5 works by Holder that have sold, all in last 7 years.  Two were for but a few hundred dollars, two were at about $1,000 and one was at the $10K mark.  This latter was a very large and striking 1959 portrait of Lena Horne and auctioned from her estate by Doyle New York. I might suggest your interesting picture would fetch closer to the lower prices in this admittedly small range. You are no doubt aware of his background and involvement in New York City theatrical arts, so any interest might be strongest in that environs. Best of luck.
